*note: i wasnt sure where exactly to put this thread, being as i understand little about what i am experiencing here*

ever since my early childhood, i have experienced an oddity. the best i can describe it is that i see these specs of color everywhere. the colors are green, blue, and red. in pitch black, they are far more noticable. but even during daytime, i can see these small specs. i met one other person who saw these as well, but as he grew older, he lost the ability to see them and the memory that he did. i am also losing my ability to see them, so i concentrate on them for a couple minutes each day, training my eyes to stay focused to their existance.

when i was a very young child, i feared these specs of color. i saw the greens come together to form an entity, which i called the green blinking man (on account of his color and the fact that it wavered in and out on intensity). I remember very little about the green blinking man, but my parents tell me that i always said that he carried a gun or knife, and that i was afraid that he was trying to kill me. He never actually harmed me, he was just scary for a child of my age.

now my questions. What are these specs of color that i see? does anyone else see them? How did they form this entity that i saw? and is it possible that the entity was actually trying to protect me? thoughts, comments, etc. are most appreciated.

yeah I get that. when I was younger when i'd be in the dark if I thought about it they would form the shapes of skulls and cover my entire vision.... or one that that often happened was it all turned into red and looked like fire.. in a cartoony way.

i think it just forms images you look for, from pattern recognition.

i don't think it's anything special.. just bad eyes.. or something with your visual center of the brain.

i constantly see it and its like very fine static.. it makes seeing in the dark hard. i blame playing super nintendo constantly..

Perhaps this is not the explanation you are looking for.. It could be a common phenomena, most people just ignore it, or don't notice it though. I looked some of it up online, and the simplest explanation I can find is that some of it can be caused by light imprinting on your retina - "after images," and sometimes they just happen for no good reason "closed eye hallucinations" or CEVs. In the absence of visual activity, your brain will start making stuff up.. or something like that. It seems your eyes do not actually have to be closed to have CEVs, or perhaps im just confused. I noticed CEVs occur mostly when it becomes dark e.g. when I turn off the bedroom lights and the room becomes pitch black, the room will suddenly fill with green/red/purple dots/swirls/blobs dancing in and out all around me - kind of entertaining to watch, sometimes creepy. Its kind of like when you when you close your eyes and mash your eyeballs around with your fingertips you'll start to see "fireworks."

Google some of this stuff up and see for yourself if it sounds similar to what you are experiencing.

My theory is that, while it is caused from brain activity, underlying that, the holographic mind's eye screens of our light bodies have to project some kind of creation. it's like, as long as you're observing there has to be something there, even if its static.. you're tuning into something. just not perceiving the information in a tangible sense.. who knows what could be there if we learned to see it in a different way.

in altered states i've seen this static take geometric forms and i've seen fractals.

I used to do that with my eyes until it hurt. I thought it was cool.

very very rarely I'd sometimes see little specks floating around like the white specks on tv channels you don't recieve

sometimes there's really bright white ones that streak across.. almost exactly like shooting stars.... maybe they ARE shooting stars, it's just seeing through all the solid objects before you and it's showing itself to you

I experience this to this day.  My opinion is that it is an amalgamation of many bits of energies floating around in space.  The static, to me, is reminiscent of what people talk about when they say PRANA, or CHi, or life ENergy.  I feel like it is the energy between things.

There are many possibilities, from bad eyesight (as already mentioned) and other biological phenomena to the possibility that you are misunderstanding a view of someone's aura? I personally see a blue-white "aura" around most everything, particularly around things with electrical impulses in them - such as wires, people, electronics, etc. And have also found that kind of things very prominent around leylines. I do think it's a biological thing, but it could also be something to do with the way our brains perceive energy fields of various kinds.

Just a thought.
